Biography
JENNIFER LAULETTA has an extensive history in musical performance. Even before the age of 15, when she became the youngest member of the Kentucky Opera Association chorus under the direction of Moritz Bomhard, she knew that music would be her life’s work.
Jennifer began her professional career on the road with a floor-show band performing popular music, during which time she appeared as a soloist at the MGM Lion’s Den Lounge in Las Vegas, Harold’s Club in Reno, and Ye Little Club, among other nightclubs in the Los Angeles area. After seven years of touring the country, Jennifer returned to Louisville to form her own musical group under the name of Jennifer Lyn. She performed a variety of music, including big band work, but kept gravitating toward a smaller, more intimate jazz venue.
Upon deciding to take a break from the nightclub environment to spend time with her family, Jennifer formed a Christian music ministry which lasted for 18 years and included travel to Estonia, in the former Soviet Union.
Although Jennifer has worked with and enjoyed many styles of music, she is now concentrating her talents where her real forte resides – in jazz vocals.
Jennifer also has extensive recording experience, specializing in vocal arrangement and background vocal performance. In addition to commercial work, Jennifer has recorded four albums, including some of her own compositions. |
